Recently the U.S. Senate considered the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This bill simply requires physicians to use all reasonable measures to save the life of a baby born alive after an abortion, just as they would with any other patient. Astonishingly, the Senate rejected the measure by a vote of 53 to 44.
The Center for Disease Control estimates 143 infant deaths after abortion from 2003 to 2014. In their report the CDC stated, “…it is possible that this number (143) underestimates the total number of deaths involving induced termination.”
Similar bills are being tried at the State level in places like North Carolina and Wisconsin with democratic governors vowing veto.
Bewildered, Americans wonder how the U.S. Senate got populated by so many who refuse to represent the constitutional interests of all their constituents including the most vulnerable.
