A crisis does not change who we are. It reveals it. Endurance under hardship is the mark of a Christian. As people of the cross, Christians are able to weather any storm the good Lord’s sovereign hand permits trusting that He works all things together for the good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
It’s been said, “Don’t waste a crisis.” Living according to the Kingdom of God can transform this crisis of health and economics into a moment of grace. Jesus, when encouraging people not to worry about how they will survive says, “…seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” We can bring God’s kingdom to Earth by walking in the footsteps of Jesus. This means submission to God and sacrifice for our neighbor.
