Many Democrats fear a conservative-leaning Supreme Court could overturn the abortion ruling, Roe v. Wade. At a televised townhall interview on October 5 with Lester Holt, Presidential candidate Joe Biden was asked how he intends to protect abortion rights should the high court shift. He answered saying, “…the only responsible response … would be to pass legislation making Roe the law of the land.”
But why have abortion proponents historically avoided the legislative process to implement and protect their abortion agenda? Could it be precisely because the legislative process has not worked? Historically pro-abortion politicians relied on activist judges to create laws. A conservative leaning Supreme Court would threaten the ability of pro-aborts to protect the candle of abortion from the breath of the people to extinguish it.
