“I see CompassCare as sort of a place to go when you don’t know what to do. It’s sort of like mom and dad’s house when you leave. I mean, you might not need them at the time, but there will be a time when you need them. I went from focusing on who I was in other people’s eyes to…I have to be the best for my baby. If I hadn’t found CompassCare, I think I probably wouldn’t have kept the baby out of fear. I would have tried to hide everything. I’m glad I didn’t do that because, mentally, I think that takes a toll on you after a while.”
