The incendiary Equality Act is a top priority in the Biden administration. It passed in the House and now faces a split Senate where Vice President Harris could cast the deciding vote.
The bill contains language threatening the rights of pro-life healthcare professionals refusing to participate in abortion. Because the bill overrides religious liberty protections, one attorney warned, “If enacted, [the Equality Act] would open the door for widespread litigation….”
Dubbing the bill ‘Equality Act’ is ironic. The bill’s enshrinement of abortion as a human right subjects not only preborn babies to unequal treatment, but also those who seek to protect them. The irony assumes an even darker hue since it is the very same pro-life medical providers the Equality Act disfavors who believe all people, without qualification, are equally valuable and deserving of protection.
