The Gallup Poll reveals that the people who make the least amount of money are most opposed to abortion. So why does a recent CNN piece use the plight of Mississippi’s poor to support an abortion agenda they don’t want? The fear conveyed in the CNN article is that the Supreme Court agreed to hear a Mississippi abortion case in order to overturn Roe v Wade, the ruling that legalized abortion nationwide. So if the poor don’t want abortion, why do those in power want it for them? Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, in an interview with the New York Times Magazine chillingly described her understanding of the court’s edict saying, “…at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations we don’t want to have too many of.”
