Since abortionists have been scheduling abortion procedures out two or more weeks in advance, the reversal of Roe caused the cancellation of thousands of abortion procedures in at least 26 states. Because the primary service of abortionists is abortion, scores of facilities will be sitting idle this week and will likely have to shutter for good.
Because the reversal of Roe does not end abortion, but gives it to the states to decide for themselves, the abortion industry moves to a hub-and-spoke model, flying women from conservative states in for procedures and sending dangerous, chemical abortion drugs out to women in those same states. Jim Harden, CompassCare CEO, says, “For women in states that outlaw abortion, they will have a great opportunity to get a second opinion. Unfortunately for women in the abortion-hub states, nothing changes.”
Now that the abortion industry will have no use for their facilities in 26 or more states, pro-life, medical pregnancy centers will have the opportunity to increase their infrastructure, serving thousands more women both in-person and online through telehealth. Harden says, “CompassCare is now developing and deploying the 21st century, telehealth tools—with global partner Let’s Talk Interactive—for 650 pregnancy centers to be able to serve every woman in America considering abortion. This would be devastating to the billion-dollar abortion empire.”
Help CompassCare expand to reach and serve even more women seriously considering abortion in NY and across the United States.
