On November 9, pro-life strategist, Rev. Jim Harden, released a 9-point plan to protect women from abortion fraud. The plan stated that the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe is causing knee-jerk pro-abortion policies injuring women. The ninth point of Harden’s plan identifies policies promoted by corporations like Dick’s Sporting Goods and Google to pay for abortion travel expenses of employees living in states that restrict the procedure. Harden’s plan encourages government to explore violations of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act by corporate America. The former head of the Women’s Bureau at the U.S. Department of Labor, Laurie Todd-Smith, applauds the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for pursuing several investigations regarding big corp’s payment of abortion travel expenses. She says, “…it’s obvious to me that it’s cheaper for large corporations to pay for their employees’ abortions rather than their maternity leave….”
