The abortion capital of the U.S., New York, passed a bill on June 13 investigating pro-life pregnancy centers while at the height of violent attacks and threats against them. The legislation requires a task force of nine commissioners to collect any and all information related to the operation of pro-life pregnancy centers and then submit a report with further policy recommendations to the pro-abortion legislature and Governor no later than December 13, 2023.
Today, December 13, 2022, is the deadline for New York Governor Kathy Hochul as well as the Speaker of the Assembly, Carl Heastie, and President of the Senate, Andrea Stewart-Cousins, to assign their three commissioners each to engage the investigation. After signing the bill into law six days after the firebombing of CompassCare’s Buffalo pro-life medical office, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called pro-lifers Neanderthals, further brutalizing them with what appears to be a purely politically motivated weaponization of the legislature because pregnancy centers refuse to provide or refer for abortion.
The time parameters of the legislation appear to have been violated. The law requires Hochul, Heastie, and Cousins to make the appointments which they appear to have failed to do, placing the viability of the legislation in legal jeopardy.
The investigation legislation purports to examine the unmet health and resource needs facing pregnant women, insinuating that pregnancy centers harm a woman’s ability to access accurate healthcare information and a comprehensive range of reproductive health services. Yet, a report released this summer detailed that pro-life pregnancy centers actually provided for the unmet health and resource needs of 26,000 parents with nearly $4 million in free medical care and family services, without any taxpayer funding.
The language of this law and other pro-abortion politicians is eerily similar to the accusations of pro-abortion extremist group Jane’s Revenge, characterizing medical pro-life pregnancy offices as, “you who impersonate healthcare providers in order to harm the vulnerable” while claiming responsibility for the firebombing of the Buffalo pro-life medical office, CompassCare. A pro-abortion cartel of big tech, politicians, and radicalized left-wing extremists all demand pro-life pregnancy centers be investigated, censored, closed, and if not, burned down.
Rev. Jim Harden, medical ethicist and CEO of firebombed Buffalo pro-life medical office, says, “Perhaps pro-abortion politicians in America’s Abortion Empire State fear a battle with pro-life pregnancy centers will expose the crimes of the abortion industry and those who conspire to promote and protect it. Here is what pro-abortion politicians don’t want the world to know: Women who abort have a 5X increased risk of suicide. Women who abort suffer from a 44% increased risk of breast cancer and a 52% increased risk of future preterm deliveries, the risk increasing with each abortion. With chemical abortion, a woman is 5X more likely to go to the ER with sepsis, ruptured ectopic pregnancy, hemorrhage, or other preventable complications which are further exasperated by instruction to lie to emergency rooms, claiming she is merely experiencing a miscarriage. Yet she is told it is “Safer than Tylenol.” Meanwhile, it appears chemical abortion (start at minute 10:50), as well as vacuum aspirated surgical abortion, is in direct violation of provision three of the Nuremberg Code.” Rev. Harden went on, “Abortion is not medical care. It is quackery, the sacrifice of women and their preborn babies on the altar of absolute power.”
Help CompassCare expand to reach and serve even more women seriously considering abortion in NY and across the United States.
