Kiyanna discovered she was pregnant.
Like so many women, the coercions of culture caused her first to consider abortion. She even scheduled an abortion, hoping her life would return to normal.
Kiyanna was conflicted in her heart. She felt stuck, like she needed an abortion. Yet it didn’t feel right.
Considering herself “spiritual,” she asked God for a sign.
Just a few hours before her abortion appointment, she received an email and text message: “Your abortion appointment has been canceled.”
Kiyanna took this as a sign. Still alone and unsupported, she chose to keep her baby.
Sadly, her resolve didn’t last. The father of the baby refused to support her, and hundreds of anxious thoughts and circumstances made it difficult even to sleep. Tragically, she scheduled another abortion, planning on telling her family she miscarried.
Kiyanna recounted her story to a CompassCare nurse a few days before her abortion appointment. It was the first time in a long time she felt heard—and the first time in an even longer time since she felt loved.
She felt better knowing her medical needs were being met, and the support of the compassionate CompassCare nurse caused her to pause—“Maybe I can have this baby…”
About a week later, Kiyanna told her CompassCare nurse that she is keeping her baby! God saved this baby from not one, but two abortions!
There are 1,000,000 abortions in the U.S. each year. The hurt driving women to abortion and the generational damage caused by even one abortion is incomprehensible. Only the Church has the answer to wounds this deep.
Kiyanna experienced that healing because of your pro-life passion on display through CompassCare.
