What does Jesus think of abortion? Once, placing a little child in front of His disciples, He proceeds to connect how a person treats a child with how the heavenly Father will treat that person (Mt. 18:5-6), warning, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones…” (Mt. 18:10).
And with the child still in front of them, Jesus says, “So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish” (Mt 18:14).
Christians know abortion is always wrong because: 1) All people are made in the image of God and are therefore equally valuable and 2) Jesus’ mandate for loving our neighbor in His parable of the Good Samaritan forbids favoritism. Christians are pro-life because Christ is pro-life.
