Pro-Life Wins—NY AG Slapped with Temporary Injunctions

There have been two recent legal victories for moms and babies in NY. Women like Jabra can still reverse the effects of chemical abortion through pro-life medical centers like CompassCare.

In April, NY Attorney General, Letitia James, sued NY pregnancy centers, intending to stop us from delivering life-saving emergency progesterone treatment to reverse the devastating effects of the abortion pill.

When a woman begins the chemical abortion process and changes her mind, or finds out she was poisoned by her boyfriend, CompassCare’s team of experienced medical professionals can help her save the life of her baby through what is called Abortion Pill Reversal (APR).

APR is safe, effective, and a widely used pro-gestational therapy that overpowers the lethal effects of the chemical abortion drug, Mifepristone.

If successful, Letitia James would force those women to have abortions they don’t want.

Represented by the Thomas More Society in the Supreme Court of New York, CompassCare and others received a win when the Judge insisted the case be heard in Rochester, NY instead of Manhattan where Letitia James appeared to be shopping for a favorable judge.

In another victory, last Tuesday, a United States District Court Judge slapped Letitia James with a temporary injunction in a similar case. Letitia James is now blocked (until further notice) from depriving women of emergency, pregnancy-sustaining care through pro-life pregnancy centers like CompassCare until the case can be fully heard.

These mini-victories allow pro-life pregnancy centers to continue rescuing preborn boys and girls and their moms from the lethal dangers posed by chemical abortion, restoring choice to women who do not want an abortion.

Praise God for these two legal victories. But there is still a long road ahead.

While CompassCare can continue providing abortion pill reversal free from government fines and censorship, these are just temporary reliefs.

On October 9, CompassCare’s attorneys will be in court in Buffalo defending our ability to continue providing care free from activist violence. After the November election, several other cases will be heard in State and Federal Court.

Please pray for continued favor as five legal actions continue making their way through the justice system.

Know that it is CompassCare’s commitment to continue providing life-saving, ethical medical care to save women and babies from abortion—no matter what.
