Brooklyn/Bronx, NY—CompassCare is celebrating the grand opening two state-of-the-art pro-life medical offices on March 4 and 5, expanding free, life-saving services to women in the two largest abortion hubs in the nation, Brooklyn and the Bronx with a combined total of 25,000 abortions per year. Letitia James, Kathy Hochul, Hakeem Jeffries, Yvette Clarke, Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand, and AOC have all been invited to the event.
According to NY Vital Statistics, abortions are up nearly 25% in NYC in 2022 (the most recently reported year), and Brooklyn and The Bronx have the highest number of abortions of any counties in the nation. Rev. Jim Harden, CompassCare CEO says, “There is no shortage of abortion in NY. And given that 70% of women who’ve had abortions felt coerced, it makes me happy to announce the opening of CompassCare’s two new medical offices. Women in the Bronx and Brooklyn now have an ethical alternative to abortion.”
Additional abortion statistics by borough include:
- For every 100 black babies born in Brooklyn, 114 are aborted.
- For every 100 black babies born in the Bronx, 84 are aborted.
- There are at least 56 abortionists in the NYC region compared to just four ethical alternatives to abortion
CompassCare extended an olive branch to NY Governor Hochul, who referred to pro-lifers as Neanderthals while signing legislation to investigate us. I’ve also invited Attorney General Letitia James, who sued to shut down CompassCare’s emergency lifesaving services for women who change their mind and want to reverse their chemical abortion. It is our hope that they and others, like Sen. Schumer, AOC, and Hakeem Jeffries will meet the people and experience firsthand how the people of God through CompassCare provide for the unmet health and resource needs of their constituents. So far, there has been no response.
Hochul and AG James have illegally made New York an abortion sanctuary state, shielding criminal abortionists from prosecution. Rev. Harden says, “Hochul and James would rather harass pro-life pregnancy centers providing women with millions of dollars’ worth of free medical care and support rather than protect women from the serial malpractice of the abortion industry.”
