- Regional Executive owns individual and team performance, hits their performance targets, and regularly contributes to continuous improvement ideas.

Communication

Patient Services

- Clinical practice according to the orders of the Medical Director:
- Urine Pregnancy testing
- STD education and specimen acquisition
- Urine specimen collection & processing
- Vaginal swab, slide preparation, microscopic assessment
- Venous blood specimen collection & processing
- Education and treatment for positive STDs; medication and referral to outside health care agencies.
- Limited Obstetric Ultrasound
- Understand basics of obstetric ultrasonography
- Perform limited abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds
- Carefully communicate concerns to the patient with any unusual ultrasound exam, referring patient to an OB-GYN for follow up.
Professional Development
Collaborate with the medical services team to yield positive patient outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Humbly pursue personal continuous improvement through peer observation, accountability and regular connections with the nursing team leader and medical services manager.
- Review metric reports, discussing implications and potential areas of improvement.
- Attend monthly medical team meetings to discuss projects, metrics, tactical items and strategic plans.
- Complete regular training activities relative to early pregnancy determination and STD testing and treatment, to ensure relevance and continuous improvement within the department.
- Cross train with all nurses on specific team administrative tasks, including:
- STD result postings
- Medical services purchases
- Tour presentations
Inter-Department Functions
Assist with overlap in other departments.
- Attend and actively participate in Advancement Department activities if requested by the President or Advancement Manager, including the Walk for Life, Vision Tours and other donor events.
- Participate in patient and donor marketing activities if requested by the President or Marketing Manager.

- Engage patients via phone, text message and email in a professional and dignifying manner.
- Patients immediately feel a sense of warm and caring professionalism when they engage with a Scheduler. They are surprised to be treated with kindness when they are rude or upset.
- Patients view CompassCare as credible and professional as a result of their engagement with the Scheduler.
- Every potential patient receives a timely response when they initiate contact, in the mode they prefer.
- Every scheduled patient receives a timely, relevant reminder and information about their appointment.
- A high level of communication and trust exists between Schedulers.
- If any patient-initiated interactions are missed the patients are cared for in a timely manner by the team.
- All team members are aware of shift transitions and line transfers, and the all transfers are tested and working.
- The Scheduler works closely with the Patient Services team. Nurses are apprised of important schedule changes or pertinent patient information.
- Schedulers function as and within a team to ensure that all shift hours are covered, taking additional shifts as needed and providing at least 48 hours’ notice when unable to perform a shift, whenever possible.

- The scheduling team processes are continuously improved through collaboration of team members, focusing on improving schedule rates and show rates.
